Dr. Carey C. Brown specializes in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. He
performs operations such as Laparoscopic Colon Resection, Laparoscopic Ventral or Inguinal Hernia Repair,
Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, and Laparoscopic Adjustable
Gastric Banding. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati, College of
Medicine. Dr. Brown completed a General Surgical Residency at Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine,
Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He joins Kettering from private practice in Edgewood, Kentucky.

on minimally invasive surgical techniques to achieve the most positive patient outcomes possible… in the immediate post
operative period patients generally have less pain - long term I feel they are at decreased risk from hernias and adhesions.
