Missy Bizzarro is the Registered Dietitian for Weight Loss Surgery program and is responsible for the nutrition assessment and education preoperatively as well as postoperatively. I received my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Dietetics from Bowling Green State University. I have been with Kettering Medical Center since 2001 as a Clinical Dietitian in the areas of medical/surgical, Critically ill and bariatric patients. Recently, I joined the Weight Loss Surgery program and love helping those patients throughout the entire process of bariatric surgery.

It is a real inspiration to me to see somebody who has struggled for so long with obesity to finally lose the weight and keep it off. My favorite part of my job is hearing the patient’s stories as they lose the weight of how they no longer need to use a cane or how they can play with their kids now or go on a regular vacation. I enjoy helping our patients realize how they can modify their current eating habits to help them optimize their weight loss and keep them healthy after surgery. I am proud to be part of such a comprehensive approach to weight loss and one that produces such dramatic results.
